Tips for Family Visits

The Fundació Joan Miró is located on Montjuïc hill, one of the most beautiful park areas in Barcelona. Its venue is a modern, white, light-filled building with simple forms. Joan Miró and his friend the architect Josep Lluís Sert imagined it together. In it you will find paintings, sculptures and a large tapestry.

Each person has a different pace, so there is no single way to visit the Fundació. In a family visit, the works on display share some of the limelight with the children. Every now and then, you will need to stop for a rest and gaze at the sweeping view of the city, head out to the terrace and get some fresh air, or give free rein to creativity in the participatory spaces.

If you have any questions about the works or if anything draws your attention, remember that our museum guards are there to help you.
